SSI July 2025 Payment Arrives July 1 as Schedule Returns to Normal

Recipients of the U.S. Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program will receive their next payment on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, as the payment schedule returns to its usual pattern following a double disbursement in May.

In May, SSI beneficiaries received two payments: their regular monthly benefit on May 1 and an early June payment on May 30, due to June 1 falling on a weekend. When the first of the month lands on a Saturday or Sunday, the Social Security Administration (SSA) issues payments on the preceding business day.

This timing shift meant that no SSI payments were issued in June, although recipients still received the same number of monthly payments overall.

The regular monthly schedule will resume in July and continue into August, but with another exception on the horizon. In August, SSI recipients will once again receive two payments: one on Friday, August 1 (for August) and another on Friday, August 29 (for September). As a result, no payment will be made in September, similar to what occurred in June.
